THE PRINCE OF SONG is about Carlo Gesualdo, the renaissance composer
(1560-1613) who murdered his wife for being unfaithful. Though dead, she
haunts him until he finds a way to atone. Acts One and Two open in the Cathedral at
Naples, Act Two with a a madrigal version of the 23rd Psalm.
